Employee of the Month for December 2020: Kellye Smith, RN
To say that 2020 was a challenge for a lot of us may be a bit of an understatement, which is why we admire those who kept up with this year’s unrelenting pace. This month we recognize one of our most hardworking nurses in the company, Kellye Smith, RN:
What do you like about your job with Ellsworth Healthcare Staffing?
“Ellsworth Healthcare Staffing allows me the flexibility to work when I choose to work and the ability to plan my life around my work schedule. I can work as much or as little as I want. I have worked for many staffing agencies and Ellsworth Healthcare Staffing is #1 in my opinion. The pay is very fair, immediate feedback from management, management is easy to communicate with, I have never had a shift cancelled, things are consistent and most of all I feel appreciated.”
How did you end up working with Ellsworth Healthcare Staffing?
“I first learned of Ellsworth Healthcare Staffing through “Indeed” and once I spoke with Ms. Terri I learned that we had mutual friends in common.”
Tell us a little about yourself.
“During my spare time I am a world traveler. I am originally from Kankakee, Illinois. The oldest of two children, no children and married for 21 years. Raised by my mother who is entirely my heart and best friend. Although I am not working directly with COVID-19 patients (I treat everyone as if they are positive), I feel like I am giving back to the community by educating the staff about the proper use of a mask, social distancing, hand washing and many other ways to stay safe during the pandemic.”
